 My Afghan experience was awesome, nothing less and nothing more. At first I was a bit apprehensive about where I was going and given the fact that it is still a conflict zone but to my wonderful surprise, Afghanistan tossed those suppositions aside and showed me its real beauty as a country and its hospitality as a nation.

I was in Kabul for a month conducting a workshop on Software Development. The workshop was a great success as the students from KU showed insight
and understanding in grasping FOSS software development methodologies
that we have adopted while developing KEWL.Nextgen.

The workshop  was held at the ANGEL (Afghans' Next Generation e-Learning) Center at Kabul University. The topics I covered were:

      * GNU Linux Systems (Ubuntu)
      * Basic and Advanced PHP
      * SDLC methodologies
      * Structuring e-Learning content
      * Collaborative Tools and
      * Chisimba (PHP5)

I am excited to see what else is coming out of Kabul in the next few
weeks. Watch out world, here they come !

P.S. I really want to come back some time again just to have some Kebabs
at Chai!
